Kirtan is an ancient tradition of India which involves chanting Sanskrit mantras, which are designed to open the chanels to the Divine. "Kirtan helps the mind become quiet, and when the mind quiets, we can begin to perceive the mystical things, the sacred experiences, that are around us always. In the silence between the songs, when the song stops, you can feel something. And that something is you. There is no greater experience than the experience of one's Self. And that vibration is always within you, that vibration is you. That's the beauty of any chant experience - with little or no effort, we can experience and enjoy the vibrations of peace, energy, healing, and inspiration that are always with us." - Ragani Kaita has been practicing kirtan for 10 years, and has lead kirtan at yoga centers in New Mexico, Massachusetts, Wisconsin, and now Colorado. She is a long-time practitioner of Massage Therapy, Yoga, and Ayurveda (India's traditional system of medicine), and studied under master Kripalu yoga instructors and Dr. Vasant Lad at the Ayurvedic Institute. Kaita started doing Kirtan with Ragani (a Milwaukee kirtan artist) in 2001, playing the tamboura which is a classical Indian stringed instrument. Oneness Awakening/Blessing Giver InitiationStart time:End time: Although the Oneness University has recommended doing the Awakening Course in two days, I have found that doing it in one 12 hour day can be just as effective and sometimes even more powerful. Two days does give you much more time to process the work (during the night) and yet, as most of you know, the more you do your work, the less time it takes you to process. That being said, always listen to your inner wisdom and guidance when deciding to do a Oneness Awakening Course. Sooooooo, my next Oneness Awakening Course is Saturday, March 10th, from 9am-9pm, at the Freedom Center, 871 Kipling, Suite B, Lakewood 80232. If you are finding yourself called to become a Oneness Blessing Giver, or if you would like to deepen into your commitment as a Blessing Giver and re-initiate, I'd love to have you join me! This Course offers you the opportunity to deepen into your healing process, to release charges and programming that are no longer serving you, and will culminate in your initiation, or re-initiation, as a Blessing Giver. Evergreen Foothills Oneness BlessingStart time: 07:00 PMEnd time: 09:00 PM We welcome you to join the Evergreen Foothills Blessing Givers, lead by Karen Lystrom, on January 23, 2012 from 7pm to 9pm for a wonderful experience of giving and/or receiving the Oneness Blessing. This event is open to all people, so invite your friends and family to come and receive. The Oneness Blessing is a transfer of Divine energy. It helps to cease inner conflict, awaken the Divine within, open to Oneness Consciousness, and experience states of joy, peace and love. Turn left at Ellingwood Trail which is the 4th light and is marked as Squaw Pass Road. There's a 2 story log building immediately on your right. The suite is located on the ground floor of Elk Bridge Center at the far left end. It is easiest to use the second right into the parking lot. Ignore the signs that say "one hour only". You can park anywhere in the lot facing the building at our end. From downtown Evergreen go toward Bergan Park on Evergreen Parkway to the light marked Squaw Pass Road and turn right which is Ellingwood Trail but it isn't marked.
